Research interest
●Evaluation of drug release pattern and influencing factors:
To investigate the release mechanism of drug from different traditional formulations which are analyzed by appropriate mathematical models, and to assess the quantitative and qualitative effect of formulations and processes
●Development and application of pharmaceutical excipients and formulation design:
To develop traditional and controlled release materials, and evaluate their relationship of properties and functions, and applications in formulation design
●Pharmacokinetics of computer simulation and basic applications:
To simulate the pharmacokinetics by Visual Basic and other computer programs to investigate the factors affecting dissolutions, absorption, metabolism, and elimination of drugs
●Medical biomaterials development and delivery system design:
Development and utilization of biological materials, such as serum proteins and collagen, as drug carriers for target delivery to improve drug efficacy
●The development and applications of biomaterials in artificial tissue engineering:
Development of biological materials, such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and chitosan, to act as a cell carrier, which can mimic the function of tissue and organ to provide a substitute for medical treatments and experimental uses
